HIS PHOTOGRAPHS, A SERIAL DESCRIPTION OF CULT OBJECTS, AND THEIR METAMORPHOSIS INTO PERFORMANCE, EMBODY THE RENAISSANCE AND CODIFICATION OF AN ROCK CULTURE, AND THE BIRTH OF A NEW PERFORMING GENERATION.
HEDI SLIMANE PHOTOGRAPHED THE ROOTS OF THE LONDON SCENE, THROUGH HIS LATEST BOOK « LONDON BIRTH OF A CULT », EXPLORING THE EMERGING CHAOTIC BRITISH INDIE MOVEMENT, AND ITS CENTRAL CHARACTER, « ANTI-HERO » PETE DOHERTY.
